Every child at ICON Pediatric Dentistry is cared for by a pediatric dentist. Pediatric dentistry is a dental specialty: after dental school, a pediatric dentist trains for two to three more years in a residency devoted only to infants, children, teens and children with special health care needs. ICON hires only dentists with that training, at every office.
You will see it in the small things. We explain each step in words your child understands, we let your child hold the mirror and meet the tools first, and we go at your child’s pace. Nothing starts until you both know what comes next.
Smiles are always in progress: a first tooth, a first visit, a wiggly tooth, a first mouthguard for the soccer season. We see children from the first birthday through the teen years at four offices in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake, so a familiar team is always close to home.
